Terry E Draper

After leaving education at the age of 15 in 1964 I worked in the textile trade. Then after too many years travelling around the UK and frequent trips to Germany I decided to settle down to a family life where I could watch my two young daughters grow.

In 1985 I updated my driving skills and became an ADI, Approved Driving Instructor, a profession that I enjoyed until I was involved in a very serious road traffic accident in 1996.

After a lengthy recovery, a year later, in 1997 I returned to driving instruction but was unable to maintain this.

So a career change was forced upon me in 1998 by this situation.

Having had a passion for photography since the age of 7 and been an advanced photographer for many years, now having time on my hands, I decided to update my skills and have eventually moved forwards to include along with traditional photography, digital photography and imaging.

In 2004 I graduated in Photography & Digital Imaging at Nottingham.

This was done, as a mature student, to update my photographic skills.
